How Being A Slave to the Clock Stunts Your Spiritual Ascension

Recently, I manifested being able to let go of the final thing that had been keeping me stuck in the 3D…my 9-5 job. Now, all my energy and love is devoted to World’s Cup of JoE. It has been a couple weeks now and I just realized this brilliant Sunday morning, while sitting at the breakfast table, that I don’t need to be aware of time anymore. My children are at their father’s house for the summer, and I can work, play, eat according to how I’m feeling. Thinking of this was a sense of freedom like nothing else I’ve ever experienced.
This thought, however, got me thinking to most people that are still asleep and living in the 3D. Sunday comes around and most people are so anxious are worried about going back to work the next day that a huge chunk of their “free” time is taken consumed by mind. They don’t even get to enjoy the present moment of freedom, because they are already thinking about the time passing.
How many times in a day are you checking your phone for the time? Or a clock by your bedside? Or on a kitchen appliance? Ask yourself why this arbitrary number has so much power over you and your thoughts? We give so much of our time and energy to a number representative of time of day, that is often only necessary, to be subservient to another (whether person or business). The next few times you catch yourself checking the time, ask yourself why did you need to know it?
I titled this post that being a slave to the clock stunts your spiritual ascension, and it’s true. Let me clarify that statement a little more. When you are a slave to the time because you are letting the thoughts of time take you from this present moment, you are venturing into Mind’s Dominion. If you look at a clock, only to think about things that need to be done in the future, then you are in mind. When you are in mind, you are not aligning with soul. You are giving yourself fuel for creating stories and keeping yourself in the lower energetic vibrations of mind. Even if you are excited for something that is coming up in an hour, that is still a story. Because it hasn’t happened yet, it’s future. You don’t know exactly how it will unfold but are merely thinking about what will happen. You are giving up your present moment that is perfect NOW, to be in your story of what the future will be like.
The gift that SOUL keeps giving, is the beauty of presence. To be able to enjoy this moment without needing anything else. To be grateful for what is in front of you now, dropping expectation and preference. This is what is needed for soul ascension.
When I now think about living each day choosing what I do, when I eat, when I work based on my preference and not on what the clock says. I feel empowered and overjoyed. Now, I know this is not a reality for most (at this moment), but it is available to everyone. That is the reward of being awakened. You understand that you get to determine your own reality, based on how you manifest things. Start thinking about how you want to spend your time. For me, I didn’t want to be constricted to other’s restrictions on time. Clock in at this time, clock out at this. I wanted to be FREE.
Now, when you are trying to manifest freedom from a 9-5 like I did, don’t make the same mistakes that I did. For the longest time, I kept getting caught up in the “How” it must happen. I kept thinking the money would manifest and then the freedom. But I was wrong. The universe brought me the manifestation of the freedom and once I was able to “BE” in the emotional state of freedom and enjoyment, the money worked itself out. It was magical, beyond what I can describe. Now every day, I wake up (without caring about time). I go up to my office (without caring about time). I take breaks from work (without caring about time) and I enjoy my day (without caring about time). I have been so aligned with soul, since I gave up the 9-5 but I am understanding that this soul alignment is more to do with the freedom that comes with not being a slave to the clock. It is incredible.
