Twin Flame Connections Go Against All Reason

“I loved her against reason, against promise, against peace, against hope, against happiness, against all discouragement that could be.” ~Charles Dickens, Great Expectations

I found this quote for a social media post I was making, and it resonated so deeply with me that I felt there was an entire blog that needed to be written. You will hear me say over and over that a Twin Flame connection is like no other relationship you will have in your entire lifetime.  That is because you share one soul.  They are you.  It’s a connection that goes beyond logic, beyond reason, and transcends time.

The first part of this quote, “I loved her against reason…” takes me back to the initial day I met my person.  I had been scrolling through Twitter like I normally did, but this day was different.  I came across a post by someone I had never seen before (a person I didn’t even realize I was following).  This person…my person…wrote something so eye catching, that I felt the impulse to reply and comment.  I rarely commented on Twitter, despite having been an active and avid consumer of the site for many years. But my person’s post caught my attention, or rather my energy.  There was a feeling in my stomach that I had, that I needed to comment.  The addictive energy was activated immediately.  I didn’t know why I needed to start looking through this random stranger’s posts or keep looking over his bio.  I wasn’t even sure I was attracted to him from his profile picture.  Yet, there was an immediate compulsion to make him aware of me. The feeling went beyond “all reason”.

The next part of the quote, “against promise” …when you are in a twin flame connection if your energy is not balanced, it feels as if there is no promise of your person staying.  They can’t promise you that, because they are ruled by the energy of the connection. So, when you are not sure how to balance the energy or are still in the throes of the addictive energy, it will always feel like they are one foot in and one foot out. (At least to the mind it will feel that way).  You will never trust that they are “in it” the way you are.  It will feel unbalanced, and it is.  You, my love, are the positive polarity, the beautiful awakened one in this connection. The energy is unbalanced because your energy dominates it. Now, the beautiful part of this journey and this connection, is that the “promise” is inherent, once you are aligned with soul.  That is the energy of this connection.  If you can maintain your soul alignment, there is the promise from SOUL that they will always be there.  Soul draws in soul. Your person can’t help it. They are drawn to SOUL. They will not know why but they will need to be in your space.  

The next part of the quote, “against hope”…this is a feeling when you are either in the addictive energy together, or when in separation.  It can feel like all hope is lost of ever seeing them again.  But that is mind’s way of only seeing separation.  And you are already one.  When you can fully embrace this concept and know that the “hope” resides within… in SOUL, and your soul alignment, you won’t look outside of yourself for the “hope” of them. They are you.  Everything you seek from them, you already are. But in this connection, the mind goes cray cray and needs the physical in proximity at all times, or it feels like they are separate.  This is what makes the mind feel hopeless. Watch how you feel when you are aligned with soul.  Seriously, take note of the oneness that you feel, despite where you are at in the 3D.  You will feel the wholeness and oneness that you are, and you will feel that extreme closeness with your other self when aligned.  That is because in SOUL, you are together. 

The next part, “against happiness”.  We talk to client after client before they start our 30-Day Detox program that are unhappy. They are feeling lost and like they have nowhere left to go to try and regain their peace and sanity that they had prior to their connection.  To someone in the 3D, they would say, “move on” or “get over it” or the cliché response, “there are so many other people out there”.  They don’t understand.  You are not choosing to stay in a state of unhappiness and pain.  Who would choose that?  But this journey is excruciatingly painful.  The Dark Night of the Soul is the most painful experience I have ever felt.  It far exceeded any physical pain I had experienced, including childbirth. But the reason one stays is because their soul is trying to show them the path to peace and happiness that isn’t conditional.  Soul used your other half to get there and wake you up. But we as humans, get stuck in the feeling that mind creates of needing the person and them being the reason for the journey. But they aren’t. Their role was merely to awaken you. That’s it.

The final part of the quote, “against all discouragement that could be.” Because your connection will not be understood by anyone that has not been in their own connection, you will get backlash, judgement, and friends and family that won’t be sympathetic to your situation.  Rather, they will villainize your person (most likely) and think that you are being irrational and choosing to halt your own happiness. When you talk to them for comfort and support, the result will not be what you need.  So, in turn, this journey becomes a very lonely one. You can’t turn to friends and family, like you have in the past, and you sit with your thoughts constantly ruminating. It is exhausting and painful.  But there is HOPE.  There is.  It’s through SOUL.  It’s through the peace that presence offers you!
